Những năm gần đây một chức danh mới xuất hiện (chủ yếu ở các công ty nước ngoài), đó là Operation(s) Manager. Cho đến nay vẩn chưa thấy một chức danh tiếng Việt tương đương cho công việc này. Nhiều nơi gọi là “ giám đốc điều hành”, nhưng như thế thì lại nhầm với chức danh CEO (?). Dù gì thì chức danh đó cũng phải gắn liền với việc quản lý một bộ phận chức năng tương ứng trong doanh nghiệp hay tổ chức. Công việc đó gọi là OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT. Vậy nó là gì vậy? có gì mới ở đây? Nói thật hồi mới làm công việc này cũng chả biết có gì khác biệt với chức Plant manager, người giao chức cũng chả nói rõ, đọc cái bảng mô tả công việc thì thấy chả khác gì sất. Bực quá tự tìm hiểu vì ở trên đời không có cái gì tự nhiên nhảy ra mà không có căn nguyên, nhất là anh Hoa kỳ rất thực dụng, lại càng phải có lý do. Mà đúng thế thật.
