Colourpop yes please eyeshadow palette review năm 2024

Today, I thought I would do a review on the Colourpop Yes, Please! eyeshadow palette. This is their first ever eyeshadow palette and omg this took so long to arrive.

For the first launch, this palette sold out in just 10 minutes!!! Thankfully, I managed to snag myself one of them so I basically chilled for abit. But the time it took for them to ship this out was crazy. I ordered it on June 17th and it only shipped out on June 29th (both in Sg time).

One thing I love about Colourpop is how they listen to their customers. So many people were upset at the delayed shipping so they postponed the restock and for the next launch (the Crushed Crystals/Nail Polish/Yes, Please! restock), they got orders out super fast! This palette also sold out in 10 MINUTES for the restock omg

So on to the palette!

Colourpop Yes, Please! Eyeshadow Palette. USD16 // 12 x 0.85g (0.03oz)

Yes, the palette really is cute af *insert crying emoji*

It came with the yellow sleeve that says Yes, Please! and in terms of size, it is slightly smaller than the smaller palettes that hold 12 eyeshadow pans. The design gives me neon signage vibes. Kind of like the 80s/90s neon font!

The palette itself comes in a cardboard packaging which is pretty damn sturdy. It’s definitely travel-friendly because the packaging really gives me the assurance that it won’t break in transit and/or is small enough for me to pack into my cabin bag.

The only thing I don’t like about it is the material of it? It’s hard to describe but there’s some sort of glossy and matte material around the cardboard packaging and it is sooooo messy. It clings on to any powder fall out (which, these do have quite abit of kick back) and is super hard to clean so it makes the palette look really messy and dirty. But disregard that if having a nice clean packaging doesn’t really matter to you! It’s just annoying to me cause I love having nice clean packaging.

If you’re familiar with the ready-made eyeshadow quads from Colourpop, you know that they don’t put the names at the back because all the shadows can be taken out and moved around and rearranged. With this palette, the eyeshadows can’t be taken out and they’ve put in the names at the back of the palette! Really appreciate this because it’s easier to follow along with tutorials on Youtube and it’s just nice to know the individual names of the eyeshadows.

Here’s an overview of all the shade names. Can you see how dirty the palette is already? And if you guys have seen my Instagram, I am re-using pictures from there so don’t mind me!

This palette has been compared numerous times as being a dupe for the Natasha Denona Sunset palette by people like Kathleenlights, Jkissamakeup and Nicolerennecutler so I really wanted to see the colours because your girl here cannot afford to pay USD130 for an eyeshadow palette no matter how good it is!

All of these are super soft, buttery, pigmented and blendable. I know those are all buzzwords when it comes to eyeshadows but it really is damn easy to use! They are already pigmented in one swipe although these were two to three swipes just for aesthetic purposes lol

Full Zip is a repeat colour and is just the perfect matte browbone shade.

Big Cocktails is a matte orange.

Champs is a matte peachy nude colour. I love using this on my lids as an initial all over colour.

Bling is (described on the website as) a metallic rust. Gotta use the description from the Colourpop website because I have no idea how to describe this colour!!! But it’s one of my favs from the palette!

This! Is! My! Favourite! Row! Just look at the warmess of the colours here!

Louie is one of my favourite colours in this palette. It’s a gorgeous warm pinky red with gold flip! This one is pretty similar to one of the shades in the Naked Heat palette, I think it’s called Scorched? I have yet to get the Naked Heat for myself but more on that later!

Butter Cake is a very shimmery yellow gold. I say shimmery instead of metallic because this is one of the shades with the most kickback in the palette. It’s a gorg colour for the inner third of my lower lashline but the fall out on that too is like woah. I was a little afraid it would get into my eyes!

Spoiled is a matte red. It’s so pretty but I’m just a tiny bit intimidated by this colour.

GNO is matte burnt orange colour. This is another one of my favourites. I love using this to warm up the outer corners.

Last row!

Mischief is a matte yellow and tbh, I have no idea when I’ll dare to use it out! I’ve played around with this on the crease and GNO concentrated slightly below the crease in the outer third of the eyelid and I love it! But I didn’t dare to use it out LOL

Note To Self is the second repeat colour. I’m so glad they included this because it’s the perfect warm brown colour that can be used as a transition shade or in the crease for a more neutral look.

Chauffeur is a gorgeous orange-gold colour that I’ve loved applying on my eyelids for that gold pop! It has a lot less kickback and fall out compared to Butter Cake and is, again, one of my fav shades in the palette.

French Kiss is a matte dark reddish brown that can be used to smoke the look out. Out of all the colours, this colour has the driest formula but is still easily blended out.

And here’s a compiled picture of the swatches and palette for easy reference.

In my opinion, this palette is a definite must have if you love warm-toned looks and if you didn’t want to splurge on the Natasha Denona palette or missed out on that. It’s very unique in my collection and is a great value for money at only $16. Yes, there is less product per pan but if you think about it, when do you ever finish a whole eyeshadow anyway? Especially trend pieces like this one.

In terms of the warm-toned eyeshadow trend, there is a ton of palettes coming out like the Sephora Pro 28 Warm Eyeshadow palette (USD68) and Urban Decay Naked Heat (SGD83). This palette definitely carries its own weight amongst those other palettes and I would highly recommend that you try and get your hands on this palette at the next restock of it!

As I said earlier, I have yet to get my hands on the Naked Heat palette so there won’t be any posts on that anytime soon. It’s such a gorg palette but the more I look at it, I feel myself convincing me that I don’t need it especially because it’s SGD83 omg. I would rather spend SGD50 on the Velvetizer by UD lol.

Hope y’all enjoyed this post! Do any of you guys have the Yes, Please! palette, want to get it at the next restock or have no interest in it whatsoever? Leave me a comment below with your thoughts on this palette.
