Spatial audio not available Mac Reddit
Hi, I've tested my AirPods max out on my iPad and iPhone and spatial audio works no problem...I'm testing it on my m1 MacBook Air and it works on YouTube, netflix, etc including Apple TV but just not in Apple Music. I've heard some people had this issue but I can't seem to find if this was ever fixed or if somebody found a solution. Show I have turned on Dolby Atmos but still no luck and I'm on Mac OS 12.1 level 1 I think spatial audio only works on M1 MacBooks (correct me if I’m wrong). That could be the reason level 2 Thought I read that somewhere it was M1 only too level 1 I have airpods pro and it doesnt even show me this function. Only transparency and noise cancellation and off. level 1 Is the feature available yet on Monterey? Real question as I don't know. level 2 It's been available, but only when using Safari with YouTube and Netflix, and Apple Music (don't know what else) Doesn't work with Chrome level 1 It depends if the software you’re on supports spatialise stereo. The audio you are listening to may not work with spatial audio (only a fraction of media works with spatial audio), though all audio works with supports spatialise stereo. Spatialise stereo is basically spatial audio but not as good.
level 1 M1 Mac on MacOs Monterey, Spatial Audio with AirPods Pro work only with my safari when watching YouTube. Not available for iTunes😕 level 2 Thanks for the heads up! I’m a chrome/Spotify user which doesn’t help the situation, shame they didn’t make it available for all audio sources as it’s great! I just bought Airpods Pro 2. In iPhone, there is a feature to turn spatial audio always no matter what app the sound is coming from. But on my M1 Pro 16", I can only enable spatial audio with selected apps: Apple Music, Apple TV? Is there a way to enable it for all apps? *I'm new to this sub so i apologize if this has already been addressed.* i have a fully up to date 2018 Macbook air and airpod pros. As far as i know, that fulfills all the requirements necessary to use spatial audio, yet when i click on the airpod icon i'm only given the options; "off, noise cancellation, transparency". "Spatialize audio" isn't even greyed out like the others i've seen having this problem... its just simply not there. Even if i'm playing something that i know for a fact is dolby atmos, it still doesn't give me the option. Am i missing something here? Any advice at all would be appreciated. r/macbook 2 Crossposted byu/[deleted]8 months ago • Posted byu/[deleted]8 months ago [deleted by user][removed] 5 points 10 comments 0 comments 75% Upvoted no comments yet Be the first to share what you think!
