The Two-Tailed Fox Exotic rocket launcher is one of the many Exotic loot drops in Destiny 2: Forsaken that [acks a double punch.

The Two-Tailed Fox, like most Exotic weapons, is a random drop in Destiny 2: Forsaken. You have a chance of getting it from Exotic engrams, Powerful engrams, as a reward for completing bounties or in the post-match screen in Crucible.

Assuming Xur doesn't eventually have it in stock, you'll just have to hope that you find Two-Tailed Fox in your weekly and daily drops.

Two-Tailed Fox perks and handling

The Two-Tailed Fox goes in your heavy slot and takes heavy ammo. The intrinsic perk is Twintails, which allows the rocket launcher to fire off two rockets, one Solar, and another Void, that track the same target.

In PvP, the two rockets count as one point of heavy ammo, and the aggressive tracking means you're less likely to miss your shots.

The Play With Your Prey perk is where things get interesting. This perk allows the Void rocket to suppress enemies and leaves the Solar rocket to cause damage over time. This is perfect for PvE because it allows you to continue doing damage even after the main impact.

Confined Launch is another perk on Two-Tailed Fox. It brings an increased blast radius, and stability, but decreases projectile speed. High-Velocity Rounds counteracts that with an increase in projectile speed, and reload speed.

Further increases to stability can be achieved with the Composite Stock perk, which also increases handling speed.

Is Two-Tailed Fox worth using?

Two-Tailed Fox is a versatile rocket launcher that can be useful in both PvE, and PvP. The damage over time you get from the Solar rocket is great for inflicting sustained damage dealt to big targets in PvE, while the aggressive tracking is perfect for hitting enemies around corners in PvP.

The fact the weapon's two rockets also count as one in PvP is a godsend when you have limited ammo, and will allow you to quickly follow up the first kill with another without having to switch back to your primary.

That said, there are better options out there, but you can count on Two-Tailed Fox to be a decent, aggressive rocket launcher.

Is 2 tailed fox any good?

So back in Season 20, Two-Tailed Fox got a catalyst that grants it a third rocket that jolts the enemy. While this was strong, its numbers were barely beating out Explosive Light Hothead (+ Wolfpack Rounds).

Is Two

Two-Tailed Fox has become absolutely incredible since the launch of Lightfall, thanks to the rework the weapon received.

Is Two

Really depends on what you're doing. Short DPS windows, yeah, but long windows where you'll fire all your rockets, you're better off with the one that does more. If you're solo, its arguably the best RL, in a team of 3 it shines well, and it's fine in all other content.

Does Two

Two-Tailed Fox doesn't have anywhere NEAR the damage Gjallarhorn does. The reload bug it has along with the actually slow reload makes it virtually unusable in most content. Even as a hunter with the ability to instant reload, it is just not fun or good to use.
