Asrock fatal1ty b250m performance review voz năm 2024

This motherboard has been working reliably over the past few months. I previously had the ASRock Motherboard H270M PRO4 installed in my desktop computer case but the motherboard failed after 3 years. At first, I thought that the power supply had failed since the computer wouldn't turn on. Since that component was still under warranty, I exchanged it for another. The computer worked for about a week then failed again with the same result, no boot. The power supply was now ruled out so I now suspected the motherboard to be the culprit. Sure enough, a component on the motherboard was extremely hot, burning my finger when I touched it. Now I was pretty sure that the motherboard was the cause of my no boot problem.

Replacing a motherboard is no small thing. It has to be able to fit the form factor that your computer case is designed for and it has to be able to work with your existing components. I looked at various boards online but they either would not work with my existing CPU, an Intel i5-7500, or they would not work with my existing memory modules. After a few days of searching and exploring component replacement choices, a costly option, I found two things. Computer motherboards have materially increased in price since I last shopped for one and that one affordable motherboard exists that fits all of my needs, the ASRock FATAL1TY B250M Performance MicroATX. There was one thing I had to give up with this MB replacement, one USB 3.0 socket. I could live with that.

The new motherboard installation was easy since supported all of my components and was designed to fit the ATX case form factor. It has been working reliably and I'm quite pleased that I made this selection. Amazon was the only source for this motherboard that I could find at the time of my purchase as most of the newer boards are made to support more recent processors and memory modules.

Should you find yourself in the position to replace an older motherboard, I can recommend this ASRock FATAL1TY B250M Performance MicroATX. Just make sure that it supports the components you have. You can do that by visiting the ASRock website where you can find the list of supported components under the “Support Tab” on the FATAL1TY B250M Performance product description page.

You simply cannot beat the amount of features of this MB (not one, but TWO m.2 NVMe-compatible slots, 4 DIMM slots, MicroATX form factor, 7.1 audio, USB-C, etc) for very reasonable price $114.

A small glitch I had to figure out is that a powered USB hub actually can feed 5v back into the motherboard, so all USB ports are staying on (i.e. supplying power to connected devices) while the computer is in full shutdown.

So ASRock USB ports not only can send 5v power, but apparently also can receive it and feed the MB components.

If you are like me and you do NOT need to charge your USB devices while the PC is off -- deactivate USB power when PC is shutdown (FYI, Shutdown State=S5, Hybernation=S4). Go to BIOS->Advanced->ChipsetConfiguration->DeepSleep->select 'Enable in S5' (you have an option to deactivate USB power in both S4 and S5, too)

It works amazing for the price and looks pretty sick . You can't change the rgb color though but otherwise it gets the job done pretty well!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well with Fractal define mini C, i7 7700, 16GB ram, RX550

The motherboard works fine and is full of features, however, one of the main reasons I bought it was the LED on the motherboard and the RGB header. I have no issues with the RGB header but the LED on the heatsink is stuck to red. It is impossible to change the color. When I first powered it up before the update it worked fine. After updating the MOBO I haven't been able to change from red since. Fan control is great from the "fantastic tunning". I love the two m.2 slots. All in all the MOBO performs and looks great inside my Fractal define mini C.
