Dodge will launch an electric muscle car in 2024, and the American brand has revealed more information about it during its Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 presentation. It seems that the first electric muscle car, at least, the first from Dodge, will overlap with existing vehicles on sale when it appears. , instead of directly replacing it. This is a confirmation of the previous information, but it still counts.

Unlike other future vehicles, Dodge’s upcoming electric muscle car isn’t mocked in sketch form, like the 2024 Ram 1500 EV, or presented in concept form, as was the case with the first electric Jeep.

Dodge Charger Concept

Kuniskis confirmed to Motor Trend that Dodge will unveil its electric muscle car concept no later than the second quarter of 2022. It will run on Stellantis’ new “STLA large EV” platform, one of four electric vehicle platforms the conglomerate is reportedly developing – and which will supposedly offer a range of up to 500 miles.

The name Fratzog was coined—meaningless when it was first used in the early ’60s to describe a logo. “It still means absolutely nothing and has no relevance or significance to why we’re using it right now,” Kuniskis said. But, backlit and in 3D, it “looks cool and high-tech and modern and looks like it represents electrification.”

The Fratzog symbol will be on electrified vehicles, a subtle way to tell them apart, like the slash representing Dodge. Those in the know will recognize the red triangle symbol.

Fratzog won’t be a sub-brand or even a trim level, and most likely won’t be part of the vehicle’s name.

New Dodge Charger Electric

Ultimately, Stellantis will have more than 25 Electric Vehicle Batteries in its US product portfolio by 2030. Some of these have been confirmed previously, while others are just starting to be included in plans as something to come, without going into too much detail.

The high-end Hellcat charger will cost significantly more than the high-end model can sell for up to $84,000.

2024 Dodge Charger Release Date

There has been no official statement regarding this. It’s likely Dodge will start taking orders for the October Charge and production is slated to start in December as before. However, estimates the release date is around early 2024.
