Dodge shuts down its Charger 2024 meeting. CEO Tim Kuniskis simply said that the brand will stop making the current Charger in 2024.

Discussing the future of Dodge’s muscle, Kuniskis said, “If chargers can make Chargers faster, we’re on board.” He also teased the silhouette of at least one of Dodge’s generation eMuscle cars.

Will any of them wear the Charger badge? The name seems too perfect for electrification – whether a plug-in hybrid or a full battery electric vehicle – for Dodge to pass up. But the actual drivetrain and appearance of the 2024 Charger remain a closely guarded secret.

Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis recently confirmed to Motor Authority that the Charger and Challenger—and their Hellcat engines—will cease production in 2024. Motor Trend, who also spoke to Kuniskis, offered more details on the three new Dodge vehicles that will replace it.

Dodge Charger Concept

Kuniskis confirmed to Motor Trend that Dodge will unveil its electric muscle car concept no later than the second quarter of 2022. Fratzog Symbol On Dodge EVs. Dodge also teased us with the Fratzog name and logo (above). The name Fratzog was coined—meaningless when it was first used in the early ’60s to describe a logo. “It still means absolutely nothing and has no relevance or significance to why we’re using it right now,” Kuniskis said. But, backlit and in 3D, it “looks cool and high-tech and modern and looks like it represents electrification.”

The Fratzog symbol will be on electrified vehicles, a subtle way to tell them apart, like the slash representing Dodge. Those in the know will recognize the red triangle symbol.

Fratzog won’t be a sub-brand or even a trim level, and most likely won’t be part of the vehicle’s name.
