What should I wear to 2023?

Another fashion week has come and gone meaning more trends to obsess over. While we may have to wait a few more months for the next frenzy of global fashion shows, we have plenty of fashion trends to rock while we wait. To no one’s surprise, Canadian tuxedos, glamorous grunge, and monochrome moments all reigned supreme during this season’s shows, but some new (and rather unexpected) trends arrived on the catwalk this year—including micro mini skirts and disco ball dresses.

Below, we rounded up seven standout Spring Summer 2023 fashion trends inspired by our favorite fashion week shows. From New York to Milan and everywhere in between, here’s what your favorite designers, models, and editors will be wearing all season long.

Love them or hate them, Canadian tuxedos never go out of style. This season, head-to-toe denim took over the runways, with distressed and oversized styles stealing the show. So, embrace your inner Gigi Hadid, and don’t be afraid to wear denim on denim this winter. Go ahead. We give you permission.

It looks like the era of dark grunge is finally back, and we can’t wait to start dressing like all our fave ’90s icons, sans the thin brows, of course. All you need to pull off the look is a little fringe, tight pleather pants, and chunky jewelry. Add a glazed brownie lip, and you’re ready to rock out to Nirvana.

From Stella McCartney’s color block runway to the sea of fashion week attendees in uni-color looks, it turns out committing to one singular hue can be fashionable. Plus, this trend makes getting dressed so much easier. All you have to do is commit to a specific tone, and violà, you’re ready to take on the world.

Move over oversized blazers, it’s time for Sherlock Holmes-inspired trench coats to have their time to shine. The latest trend among the fashion elite takes a page straight out of the detective’s playbook, embracing structured plaid dad coats and beige buttoned trenches as the newest “it” layer.

From luxe-casual looks on the runway to Zendaya’s stunning crystal-covered fit at the Valentino show, one thing is clear: standing out among the crowd has never been more en Vogue. Perhaps more aptly named “disco-ball dressing,” sequins are this season’s must-have adornment. Plus, it’s the perfect trend to rock at all your upcoming holiday parties!

Bold neon looks rocked the catwalks and street styles during fashion month. Even Kim Kardashian was spotted in a fluorescent ensemble that made dressing like a glowstick surprisingly fashionable. Honestly, it kinda fits with the Barbiecore aesthetic Kylie Jenner loves so much—and we totally get it.
