A10 Fusion là con chip được trang bị bộ xử lý 4 nhân đầu tiên của Apple được giới thiệu vào ngày 7 tháng 9 năm 2016 trên bộ đôi iPhone 7 và iPhone 7 Plus với những cải tiến mạnh mẽ để nâng cao hiệu suất so với phiên bản tiền nhiệm.
Apple A10 được xây dựng trên quy trình 16 nm với 4 nhân bao gồm: hai nhân hiệu suất cao để phục vụ cho các tác vụ năng điển hình là việc chơi game và 2 nhân 64 bit được Apple thiết kế để tiết kiệm năng lượng. Theo như Apple công bố, Chip A10 Fusion nhanh hơn 40% so với chip A9 trên iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus, và nhanh gấp 2 lần chip A8.
Về bộ xử lý đồ họa GPU PowerVR Series7XT Plus đã được Apple cải tiến với 6 nhân cho khả năng xử lý đồ họa nhanh hơn 50% trong khi tiêu thụ điện năng thấp hơn so với người tiền nhiệm, A9. Apple vẫn giữ nguyên cấu trúc GT7600 từ chip A9 nhưng đã thay đổi một chút về các thành phần bên trong GPU, nhờ thế hiệu suất được cải thiện và tối ưu hơn.
Bên cạnh đó, bộ xử lý chuyển động cũng được nâng lên thành M10 với dung lượng gấp đôi giúp việc xử lý hình ảnh nhanh chóng hơn.
Với những cải tiến sâu từ phần cứng mà bộ đôi iPhone 7/ 7Plus đáp ứng thời gian sử dụng pin cao hơn mà không cần thay đổi kích thước của viên pin.
