The Buddy Adventure update for Pokémon GO improved the buddy system. Your buddy can now appear on the map with you, level up, go exploring with you, and even help you in Pokémon battles. The update also introduced a new item called Poffins.
The in-game item description is "Give this special treat to your friend, and they'll be happy to join you on the map for an extended period of time." Normally you would give your friend a Berry to join you on the map, but if you want you can feed them a Poffin instead. Poffins will act the same as three berries. Poffins also cost 100 Gold, while Berries can be found by spinning Poké Stops or gifts sent between friends.
The Poffin will have other effects on your Pokémon, however. As you can see in the image above, not only will the Poffin bring your 'give your pal a treat' hearts, but it will also double the hearts you can potentially win. Typically, you can only earn ten hearts per day. Hearts measure your boyfriend's affection for you, and the more you earn, the faster your boyfriend will grow. After giving Machoper a Poffin, you can see that the hearts you can earn will double, allowing you to level the buddy faster than usual.
If you are planning on using a Poffin, it is a good idea to use it on a day when you can play a lot of Pokémon GO and fully enjoy it by earning all twenty hearts in one day.

1. Buddy Pokemon là gì?
Buddy Pokemon hay còn gọi là Buddy System là tính năng hoàn toàn mới mà nhà sản xuất mang tới người chơi game. Các game thủ sẽ được phép chọn một Pokekon trong danh sách để trở thành thú cưng của mình. Và Pokemon đó sẽ cùng người chơi đồng hành trong game.
2. Buddy Pokemon mang lại gì cho người chơi?
Ngoài việc chúng ta sẽ thêm bạn đồng hành cho mọi chuyến đi thì giá trị hơn, đó là việc bạn sẽ nhận thêm Candy khi sử dụng tính năng Buddy Pokemon. Điều này sẽ rất cần thiết cho việc tiến hóa của các loại Pokemon.
Tuy nhiên, việc thưởng sẽ phụ thuộc vào từng loại Pokemon Buddy và số km đi bộ. Người chơi sẽ phải tích cực đi bộ cùng với thú Pokemon của mình để kiếm thêm Candy. Chẳng hạn như loài Magikarp cần tới 4000 Candy, hay Clefairy sẽ chỉ cần 1 km đi bộ để nhận thêm 1 Candy. Việc nhận Candy thông qua tính năng Buddy Pokemon sẽ được phân chia thành 3 mức độ: quãng đường 1 km, đi bộ 3 km và đi bộ 5 km. Các game thủ có thể theo dõi 3 hình ảnh thông kê dưới đây, theo từng quãng đường khác nhau để biết lựa chọn Pokemon nào tham gia hành trình trong game:

How to Get Poffins in Pokemon Go'

Along with having the option to feed your Buddy Pokemon with berries, it is now also possible to give them Poffins which will keep the happiness meter of your Pokemon to high. This can be considered as a special type of food item which will keep their hunger meter filled automatically. Giving your buddy Pokemon a Poffin will reward the player with the maximum daily number of Affection hearts in the 'Give your buddy a treat' category.
One Poffin costs 100 Pokecoins and upon feeding a buddy Pokemon with it, they stay full, stay on the map and will have their status as excited for a longer period. The total distance that is required to walk to earn candies will get reduced by half and the number of hearts available per day will get doubled.

In addition to feeding your Buddy Pokémon Berries, you can also give them Poffins, a special snack that fills your buddy’s hunger meter automatically and boosts their Mood to Excited. If you give your buddy a Poffin, you will automatically earn the maximum daily number of Affection hearts in the “Give your buddy a treat” category. Your buddy will also stay full, stay on the Map, and stay Excited for longer. Poffins can be purchased from the Shop using PokéCoins.
