Champa the Sun Bear
Cat Tien Nation Park is in the south of Viet Nam. It is a very big rainforest. The park has lots of wild animals living in it. You can see lots of interesting birds in the park, You can see elehants, crocodiles, monkeys, snakes, and bats, too. As well as animals, Cat Tien National Park is famous for its trees and flowers.
There are lots of placesto walk in the park. If you are lucky, you might see some wild animals. The best time to see animals is at night. In Cat Tien National Park, you can go on a night walk. The guides give you special boots and flashlights and take you into the forest after bark. You need to be quiet because wild animals are frightened of people.
Champa is a sun bear. She is 12 years old. Bears usually live in the forest but Champa lives in the bear center at Cat Tien National Park. The bear center has a swimming pool, climbing towers, and comfortable places for Champa to sleep, eat, and play. Some of Champa's family members live there with her. There are some trees in the bear center and Chama loves to climb to the to of them.

The park keepers bring Champa and her family fruit to eat every day. Sun bears usually sleep during the day and wake up at night.
