I played like 10 hours of sims2 on my bro' computer so I do not really know sims 2 experience
I’ve just bought a new MacBook with M1 chip, and managed to get mine working after a few attempts! While still in the neighbourhood I reduced as many game and camera settings as I could to either low or medium and I think it has done the trick. After 5 mins of game play (and lots of saving!) on a small lot, I felt brave enough to try a larger plot to play. I definitely played for at least half an hour without a single crash, so I’m hoping it lasts! I may slowly increase the settings one by one, but for now I’m just delighted to be able to play again I hope that helps! I installed the game via the App Store and that worked fine. I can start it create a neighbourhood, create Sims in CAS, just fine.
