Bh cosmetics nouveau neutrals palette review năm 2024

First things first, this palette is £16?! I’m sorry, that’s insane. For £16 you get 21 small pans and 5 larger pans of shadows.

This is the BH Cosmetics Blushed Neutrals Eyeshadow and Blush Palette. It’s a collection of 26 powder products, with the 5 larger pans intended as blushes. At £16 these palettes are super affordable, and in the UK they can be bought through Beauty Bay.

The colour range is stunning. You get a lovely range of super neutral shades with some really wearable pops of colour. If you’re one of these people who is terrified of colour, but wants to really start intigrating it into your everyday look [me!!] then you will love the colour range in this palette. The colours all compliment each other beautifully. However, they are missing a nice range of super pale highlighter shades and there seem to be a lot of mid-toned shades, and so sometimes you feel like you need to reach into other palettes…

The packaging does feel cheap. The black plastic is simple and classy, but it’s a thin, flimsy plastic packaging. There is no mirror – a real agro of mine. And it just feels a tad cheap. But, I have to say, I definitely prefer this over the cardboard packaging some other eyeshadow palettes come in.

For £16 you really can’t complain about the formula. The shadows are pigmented, pretty, and last a really decent amount of time. They just take a little time to work with. They blend, it just takes bit more work than some other eyeshadows. They’re pigmented, but some shades do take a little building up. Essentially, the formula is ok.

Is this my favourite eyeshadow palette of all time? No. But do I enjoy the shades in here, and have the ability to create a beautiful range of wearable eyeshadow looks in different colours? Yes

All of the above products were on sale, and they were on my wish-list so there wasn’t a minute to spare before I placed an order! Because my order exceeded a certain amount, they sent me a free Loveable Mascara too 🙂

Today I’m talking about the 28-Colour Neutrals Palette…

This palette is generally priced at: US$ 19.00, but at the time of the sale it was only US$ 8.00!!! I mean, seriously… who gives 28 eyeshadows for US$ 8.00, right??

Before this palette was on sale, I was eyeing this for a long time, but I was hesitant to buy because I saw some negative reviews online too… But a few bloggers and vloggers talked quite positively about this, and they said it’s worth it to purchase during a sale. Some of them even compared some shades to MAC shadows. I don’t have any MAC eyeshadows to do that sort of comparison, but I can give you a very genuine review 🙂

Okay… so here’re the 28 colours on the pan:

And the swatches:

Colour variation: This palette has a good mix of warm and neutral browns [very less amount of cool tones] and a few plums with one bright medium pink thrown randomly in the middle. There are some beautiful colours in this palette that you’ll love to use on a daily basis. My favourite shades are 7, 12, 17, 20, 22 and 25.

Finishes: Half of the palette has satin finish shades with a healthy mix of matte and shimmer on the other half.

Overalll pigmentation: Is good. I can’t say it’s excellent, but this is workable. About 90% of the palette has good pigmentation, but an eyeshadow primer is a must in this case to avoid any chalkiness. The only shade that had extremely bad pigmentation is the 28th one, the one that’s supposed to be a matte black. You can see what I’m talking about from the swatch picture above.

Application: As I mentioned before, you need an eyeshadow primer for this palette, even though the swatches were made without one. These shadows blend well, and they feel so soft and smooth. For darker shades, expect a lot of fallouts though. I recommend you doing your eye makeup first in that case.

Packaging: Comes in a cheap plastic box with a semi-frosted lid so you can see the colours inside. It feels light so there’s no problem for travelling, though it’s better to wrap this in some clothes or pack it tightly to avoid any damage because the plastic seems to crack easily.

Do I recommend it? I LOVE some of the colours included in the palette. They’re gorgeous for everyday wear. However, some colours look a bit too similar, and that pink doesn’t look very rich on the eye. If you’re on a serious budget, I would say go for it during a sale, and it’s totally worth it for US$ 8.00 I honestly don’t know whether to recommend or not, because it has both pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Super affordable
  • 28 shades has a good variety of everyday browns and plums
  • smooth and silky texture
  • good pigmentation on most shades
  • lightweight

Cons

  • Some shades are not pigmented
  • Chalky without a primer
  • Lots of fallouts from dark shades
  • somewhat weak plastic packaging

So I guess it’s like 50/50… If it’s on sale, may be you should try it out 🙂

I did 2 looks today using only the shades on this palette. The liner is L’Oreal Gel Liner with BareMineral’s Lash Domination Mascara.

This is my favourite look:

I used:

  • Crease- 20
  • Lid- 25
  • Inner Corner- 8
  • Outer Corner- 19

This is another look with that bright pink:

I used:

  • Crease- 7
  • Lid- 10
  • Outer Corner- 28
  • Inner Corner- 15

So now you can decide whether you need this palette in your life or not… For me personally, I love having it 🙂
