Câu điều kiện loại 2 là gì?
Câu điều kiện loại 2 là câu điều kiện nói về một sự việc không thể thực sự xảy ra trong hiện tại nếu có một điều kiện nào đó.Ta còn có thể gọi câu điều kiện loại 2 là câu điều kiện hiện tại không thật.
Cấu trúc câu điều kiện loại 2:
If + S + V_ed/V2, S + would / could / should + V1 [wouldnt / couldnt + V1]
[ IF + S + Động từ chia ở thì quá khứ đơn, S + WOULD/ COULD + Động từ nguyên mẫu.]
Ví dụ câu điều kiện loại 2:
If I were you, I wouldnt go to the cinema.
Cách sử dụng câu điều kiện loại 2:
Câu điều kiện loại 2 dùng để diễn tả sự việc, khả năng trái ngược hoặc không thể diễn ra ở thực tại hoặc tương lai.
Câu điều kiện loại 2 dùng để khuyên bảo.
Một số lưu ý về câu điều kiện loại 2:
Ở mệnh đề IF, nếu động từ là TO BEthì ta dùng WERE cho tất cả các chủ ngữ.
Trong mệnh đề chính của câu điều kiện loại 1, ngoài trợ động từwould, ta còn có thể dùngcould, might,
Sự việc đang xảy ra không có thật:
If + thì quá khứ tiếp diễn, S + would/could/might + V-bare
Nhấn mạnh hành động đang diễn ra:
If + thì quá khứ đơn, S + would be + V-ing
