DNA damage induced by hydrochlorothiazide was previously reported in cultured human lymphocytes. In this study, we aimed to investigate the harmful effects of hydrochlorothiazide on DNA by measuring the spontaneous frequency of sister chromatid exchanges [SCEs] in cultured human lymphocytes.
