I've just started using this after wanting to try retinol for a while. The serum is easy to apply and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry [I do use a cleansing balm before applying it and a moisturiser afterwards]. Feels like great value for money compared to other products, but too soon to see results just yet...

I had previously bought .2% one which I used but I felt I needed a higher percentage as I didnt see big results but it did keep my oil production in control as I have oily skin. I still need to use this one and see how it goes, will update once tested.

Great to get you started

I wanted to start out with retinol and I feel like this is a great find for the money, only broke me out very little comparing to other retinol products [keep in mind this is normal when starting retinol, after a few weeks it balances out with your skin] poors looks smaller and overall more smooth

Beginner Retinol

This is a great product to introduce retinol to your regime. Squalene is so hydrating, it’s a great counter to any dryness you might experience.

First Retinol

This is my first purchase of a retinol serum and although it’s early days into the usage I can say it goes on very nicely, there’s no real fragrance and it causes no irritation or redness once applied.

Great Retinol product

I am fairly new to Retinol and decided to give this product a go after some good reviews from friends. It did not disappoint. I have been using every 2-3 days and have noticed a small but noticeable difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I will definitely be continuing to use and will be reordering when this runs out. Excellent value for money for such a good product.

Feels a bit slimy but perfect for a retinol beginner like myself. Would not buy again as I did not like the slimy feel to the serum.

I love using it in my nighttime routine because it has an oily texture I use it with my gua sha, very relaxing, and doesn't leave a very oily feeling on my face

I love that The Ordinary offers different strengths retinols so you can start gentle, if you’re at the beginning of your retinol journey. I started with the lowest and now I’m using the 1% and absolutely love it. Apply it in the evening and wake up with a glass like skin. Great buy!
