Review toner miracle some by mi

Long story short, this was something I avoided due to its overexposure all over the blogosphere and social media. Apparently it’s so good that one bottle is sold every 3 seconds but I wasn’t convinced to try it until I read a fellow blogger rave about it in a couple of her blog posts. I highly recommend you check out Laura’s awesome review of the product over at The Empties Diaries where she shares legit reasons why she loves this toner.

It’s been a while since I got the AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner [I’ll call it the 30 Days Miracle Toner from here on out] so I don’t recall exactly, but I believe I paid a little over 12,000KRW [originally retails for 32,000KRW from its official site] for it at Olive Young. The toner comes in a much smaller size than what I’m used to using but I didn’t mind since it was my first time trying it anyway.

The thing is I ended up shelving the product after reading a ton of reviews of people whose skin had severe breakouts/reactions after using the toner. I even tried to refund this but missed the window to return it so I ended up coaxing myself into trying it later. Lucky for me, the 30 Days Miracle Toner wasn’t as scary as some had made it out to sound.

Things to expect from the AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner:

  • inclusion of AHA, BHA, PHA, 10,000ppm Tea Tree Leaf Water, FRUCTAN™ & P-Refinyl™
  • all in one solution for those who wanted to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, clear dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads
  • pH balanced formula
  • wrinkle repair and brightening

The product is kind of an all-in-one and great for those who are beginners to exfoliating acids as it contains AHA, BHA and PHA to not only slough off dead skin cells, remove sebum but also brighten and hydrate skin. There is 500ppm of Citric Acid [AHA], 100ppm of Salicylic Acid [BHA] and 100ppm Lactobionic Acid [PHA] in the 30 Days Miracle Toner. According to Director Pi, brightening agents Niacinamide and wrinkle-targeting Adenosine can irritate those with sensitive skin so you might want to avoid it if your skin is on the weaker side.

The Miracle Toner comes with 150ml of product packaged in a plastic bottle. It’s clear in color and does have an overpowering scent of tea tree. I personally am not fond of the scent so I’m not a fan but that’s just me. It dispenses through a small hole and is watery in consistency. I find it easier to use the toner with cotton pads as opposed to applying it directly as I usually do with my other toners. I also prefer this as I think it helps the exfoliation process.

I never took the product name seriously so I wasn’t expecting any major transformation from this. Additionally, I have oily but not acne-prone skin so I was just hoping for some help with keeping the flaky skin at bay, perhaps reduction in excessive sebum production and hydration. I remember thinking I would be impressed if it helped clear up some of my blackheads as well.

order of application:

[night] cleansing oil -> cleanser -> Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner -> ampoule/serum -> moisturizer

I like to use my exfoliating products in the evening but I suppose you can use this in the morning [and/or at night] as long as you make sure to apply SPF. I like to saturate a ton of this on cotton rounds and sweep this over my skin at first and then press the product in afterwards. The toner is liquidy as seen in the photos but also has a bit of soapiness to it. It is very light and absorbs almost instantly making it very easy to use. I did try it once as a toner mask but didn’t enjoy the experience so I never attempted it again.

I have sensitive skin that doesn’t really require a whole lot to provoke but I find that the toner is gentle enough to use every day. If you have very sensitive skin you can slowly increase your frequency of use. I used it every 2-3 days then every other day before finally using it nightly.

It’s amazing at keeping skin clear of flakiness and problem-free. It’s ineffective at reducing blackheads and appears to have zero influence on my excessive sebum production but I do think it does a super fine job at giving skin that light exfoliation to keep skin clear and smooth. It’s also provides skin a very nice dose of hydration as well. As for brightening and wrinkle repair, I can’t say with confidence that this helps with that since I use ampoules and serums in the same routine as the toner for that purpose.

In short, I enjoyed the 30 Days Miracle Toner but it wasn’t life changing for me. If it had been more effective at controlling sebum and removing blackheads, I would repurchase it in a heartbeat. I’m glad this didn’t cause any negative effects on my skin but prefer the COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner which gives me similar results for a lesser price.
