Hi there,

I messed around with shortcuts like "ctrl alt cmd 3", "ctrl alt cmd 4", "ctrl alt cmd 5" etc, and now all the folders on my desktop are stuck on the right hand side, and I can't move them freely where I want.
I tried pressing these shortcuts again but couldn't get it back to normal...
Any ideas?

PS: I've seen other threads here about people who couldn't move, or delete folders etc. I actually can delete or move a folder into another one, but I just can't arrange them where I want them to be, they have to be on the right!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you checked your Desktop view options?

Seems to me that you've done one of these....

What you want to do is go into the Finder, then close all Finder windows. Go up to View>View Options [or Cmd-J]

Then choose for it to Arrange by None.

Voilá.
