Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the eleaf istick Nowos mod. Please see bottom for disclaimers and links. Note: This is marked as a sample.

Introduction: The Eleaf iStick Nowos mod is one of the latest mods from Eleaf. Eleaf is a company that doesn't need much of an introduction, they have been around a long time and are one of the brands under the Joyetech umbrella of products and for the most part has made some solid mods mostly the pico series which is quite popular. The Eleaf iStick Nowos is an internal battery mod rated at 80 watts and an interesting screen setup. It’s available in 5 colors. Black, Red, and Blue which all have a black front and back or Dazzling [rainbow] and Silver which have a white front and back. Looking around online i see it priced from 50-60USD and around 70-80USD in the kit version with the Ello Duro tank.

Initial Impressions and features When I first got this mod I really liked the simple and sleek design of it. The display is pretty cool too. Haven’t seen a mod with a display like that and it’s really large and simple and easy to see. I also like how since it’s a beginner mod with an internal battery just how easy it is to use and how light it is. Overall i really liked the design of this mod from the start.

Watt Mode Performance [chart and spreadsheet in picture album] Now let’s get into some data. I ran my normal testing. I used the internal battery for the testing. Testing resistances were done at .12, .14, .19, and .59 ohms. wattage points were max [80], 60, 40 and 20. At .12 ohms it maxed out at 72 watts and 25 amps. For the rest of the testing it struggled a little bit 7 watts low at 60 and 2-3 watts low under that. At .14 it maxed out at 76 watts. The rest of the testing a little on the low side 2 watts low except at 20 where it was spot on. For the .19 test it maxed out at 80 watts. The rest of the testing really good being on point or 1 watt off. For the .59 testing it maxed out at 84 watts and 7.048 volts. For the rest of the testing it hit 2-3 watts high.

Overall I felt the performance of this mod was really good. It struggles a little at .12 but at .14 or higher is always within a couple of watts. I was able to get 84 watts max, so I consider it to be accurately rated at 80 watts even a little underrated. The 7.048 volt limit was maxed out by the watts and the volt limit shouldn’t be any issue. They list the volt limit at 9V which i consider plausible. I could not find any amp limit listed so I wish they would list all 3 personally. On this mod and the most amps i got was 25 with a .12 ohm coil which is on the low side of the average for an internal battery mod [average is 25-30 these days]. They list soft cell cutoff at 3.3V so based on the battery size spec is likely 2 cells in parallel and a boost circuit on the chip but i couldn’t confirm that

Simplified TLDR Power Performance summary Mod performance is really good. Accurately rated for watts [84], Volt limit is no issue [over 7v with a .59 but capped off by the watts] 25 amp limit which is on the low end of average for an internal battery mod.

Temperature Control Performance This mod does not have temp control mode. It’s power only.

Other Usage Notes The mod uses a standard 5 click of the fire button to turn on and off. There isn’t a true menu system per se because there is only 1 mode so no menu system needed. It’s a power mode only mod. You click fire 3 times which allows you to adjust wattage via the 2 touch buttons on the screen. Hold fire to save your wattage setting and it auto locks the adjustments so no worry about the mod adjusting by accident in your pocket. Really well done and very user friendly.

The Eleaf iStick Nowos adjusts by 1 watt increments at 20 or more and .1 watts under 20 so well done there as well. The mod itself is built really nice too. There is no button rattle, They list a charge rate of 2A charging. I did some basic testing with an inline USB meter and the most i got was 1.92A so very accurately rated and the fastest charging mod i’ve tested personally. They list the battery at 4400mah which likely means it’s 2 2200mah cells in parallel when combined with their listed soft cell cut off of 3.3v. I didn’t have any way to test that but in normal usage the battery life on this is one of the best i’ve gotten from an internal battery mod. The mod shows battery life in a percentage only and shows you the board temp on the screen when charging

The paint on the mod has held up really well. No wear and tear anywhere not even on the bottom. The fire button is good size circle however has a little play in it. I would have liked to see the fire button be a little better. It works well and It never gets stuck or anything though which is as it should be. The 510 pin gave me no issues and every atomizer i used on it and is nicely done and built however it’s slightly raised and doesn't sit flush so all atomizers appear to have a gap. The mod handles a 26mm atomizer flush. The 510 is not centered for some reason it’s almost centered but still more towards the back then the front. The screen is a large LED that shines through the battery and reminds me of an old school alarm clock but it’s really nice and easy to see and bright. Also for branding the mod itself just a small eleaf logo on the bottom front and a small iStick Nowos logo on the bottom back. Really nicely done there

Pros:

  • Power mode performance great [best used .14 ohms or higher]
  • Accurately rated for watts [84]
  • average amp limit [25]
  • good volt limit [7.048+]
  • good battery life form internal batteries
  • handles 26mm atomizers without overhang
  • full watt increment adjustments 20+ watts
  • color options [5]
  • really good charge rate [1.92A tested]
  • good build quality
  • simple easy to use
  • basic looking mod

Cons:

  • fire button has some play in it

Conclusion So with all that said, do I recommend this mod or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no but i have to lean towards the yes. If you don’t use TC mode and want a smallish light mod with a large internal battery that’s easy to use this mod really nailed it for me. I think it’s a great simple/beginner mod and one of the best internal battery mods for the year. I’ll be adding the mod to my spreadsheet of recs linked down below.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.

Is Eleaf a good vape?

Overall, Eleaf is a great place to look if you are unsure of where to begin your vaping journey. However, even experienced vapers can learn something new from the intuitive design of these products. The reviews speak for themselves, and you can quickly see why so many people love this brand.

How long does a Eleaf take to charge?

The Eleaf IORE LITE is a lightweight pod device. Powered by a 350mAh battery it offers enough power for all-day MTL vaping. It can be charged in just 40 minutes through USB-C fast charging. The automatic draw makes this an easy-to-use starter kit for new vapers.

What kind of battery does Eleaf use?

For a 18650 battery that provides a continuous 20A current usually has a capacity around 2000mAh. But the fact is that the biggest feature of the vape mod like Eleaf iStick Pico Le is that you could always carry spare 18650 batteries to power up your vaping all the time.

What is an iStick?

iStick is an newly launched battery with a fashionable metallic appearance. With a compact size, you can hold that in the palm, much more convenient for usage and portability. There are four colors for your option: black, silver, red and blue.
