ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to determine factors influencing on Studentschoice to Ho Chi Minh City Open University. With a sample of 1894 first year students, using Exploratory Factor Analysis show that seven factors influencing on Studentschoice to Ho Chi Minh City Open University: university efforts to communicate with students; the ability of student; quality of program; prospective job; student characteristics; the family; close friends. In addition, the result of Independent sample T-test show that the students who have permanent residence in the province assess to attend the presentation of the university more important than the students who have permanent residence in Ho Chi Minh City, the students who register the first choice assess the ability of student more important than the students who register the second choice, the students who learn the speciality Economics -Business Administration assess prospective job more important than the students learn the speciality science and technology and social sciences and humanities. The results may develop marketing strategies to both students and prospective students.
